Police Appeal Over River Death

A man's body was discovered in the River Neath near Briton Ferry earlier today

He is described as in his 30s, between five feet eight and ten inches tall, of medium build and with a bald or shaved head.

Detective Chief Inspector Simon Davies of South Wales Police said: "The man was seen to jump from the bridge into the river. We have not been able to identify him and we are appealing for anyone who may be able to help to contact us at Neath police station.

"The death is not being treated as suspicious and it has been referred to HM Coroner.”
