Thousands In Strike Action
Swansea DVLA workers are walking out
It's after the Public and Commercial Services (PCS) union called upon its members to take part in Industrial Action this afternoon. Driving test examiners and coastguards are also striking over fears of job losses.
As a result, the DVLA Swansea services may be disrupted and DVLA's Contact Centre will be operating a reduced service from 12pm.
Motorists can apply online or by ‘phone to renew their vehicle tax, declare their vehicle off road or apply for a new, updated or replacement driving .
They are protesting against plans to close coastguard stations and driving test centres.
