Gas leak repairs on busy Swansea road
Expect traffic delays in Swansea over the next few days as repairs have started along a Swansea city centre road.
Work to repair a gas leak near the traffic lights at the junction of Mumbles Road and Brynmill Lane started last night.
Wales & West Utilities says a lane closure will be in place eastbound, going into Swansea, for around 100 metres either side of the traffic lights.
The company is warning travel times may be affected and the works are likely to continue into next week.
Danny Beynon, Wales & West Utilities Operational Manager for Swansea said: "We want to let road users know that this work may have an effect on travelling times in the area.
"Unfortunately, working in areas like this is never easy but we will work as quickly and as safely as possible to make sure that we get the job finished with minimal disruption for local people."
