Join me, Marc Tierney, this Sunday afternoon between 1 and 4pm for great music and competitions on Swansea Sound.

Marc Tierney was born in Swansea and spent most of his childhood in Burry Port before moving to Wexford, Ireland.

Marc cut his teeth in radio on local Irish radio station South East Radio in Wexford, where he presented a variety of programmes as well as news and current affairs output.

Following a move to Bristol to study Media Production, Marc took to the airwaves again presenting traffic and travel news on stations across Wales and the west of England - including Swansea Sound and our sister station 96.4FM The Wave!

In 2003, Marc returned with his family to south west Wales.

After working for Radio Pembrokeshire, Marc is now really happy to be part of the team at 1170 Swansea Sound!  Make sure you tune in on MW, DAB Digital Radio or online anywhere across the world soon.
