Swansea Sound News are always out in your area finding the latest stories and looking at what effects you - as well as keeping you up to date on national and international news.

We get the opportunity to cover many court cases and attend Police Press Conferences - currently we're following the spate of apparent sucides in Bridgend. We believe we're coveing this with great care and offer external links for those who need support.

At the beginning of the year we were at Tower Colliery bringing to you the day the pit closed. We got to meet miners who had worked at the site and had help keep Tower going for the extra years.

Our News Team always have coverage of Swansea City, Ospreys and Scarletts games and have built good contacts with players and bosses. At the moment we are closely following the rugby 6 nations and giving you daily updates.
Enzo Maccarinelli is also a good friend of the station and often calls in with updates on his successful boxing career.

The News Team have close links with National Assembly Ministers and produce regular coverage of the First and Deputy Ministers visits to Swansea. We also spoke to ex Prime Minister Tony Blair on his 'farewell visit to Wales' looking at our economy here at the Corus site in Port Talbot. We also covered the departure of Secretary of State for Wales Peter Hain.

As Swansea is such a fast developing city we like to keep our listeners up to date with projects across the area. Most recently we've been following the developments on our new leisure centre and finding out what you think about the 32 million pound facility. Our city is an exciting patch to work in and we're confident that you feel well informed with what's going on both Nationally and Locally.
