If you’d like to donate to the #DontDanceAlone fund please make cheques payable to The Wave and Swansea sound or pop cash by the station.

All monies raised will be used to support LOCAL groups, communities and charities including Age Cymru in their endeavour to ending loneliness and isolation

The WaveSwansea Sound launched the award winning #DontDanceAlone campaign in 2017 and had phenomenal success.

The aim of the campaign was to raise awareness of the Older generation, shining a light on the devastating effects loneliness has and to encourage and promote inter generational relationships. As well as general awareness of taking time out of our busy days to spend time with an older person, be it a relative, neighbour, friend or stranger.

We know that there is something very special about a child spending time with their grandparents, or an elderly friend or neighbour and we want to encourage this intergenerational activity. So this year we are generating even more awareness, taking more action and making #DontDanceAlone 2020 even bigger and bringing back our #DontDanceAlone Week, which will run from March 16th to March 22nd. The first year we ran this we were blown away by the response and how many of you put on events - so this year, we want EVEN MORE!!

This whole week will be JAM PACKED with inter generational events and activities put on by schools, businesses, venues, groups, local community groups open to the public.
