<<BackWhy A Sleep Out?

The Wave is inviting individuals and businesses to join The Cold Truth Sleepout and spend one night sleeping outside at our organised event to raise money and awareness of the issue of homelessness. The event is not a comparison to the life of a homeless person, but we do want to highlight some of the challenges faced.

  • Waterproof Hats, gloves and scarves
  • Cardboard to put down under your sleeping bag

  • There will be access to indoor toilets
  • Hot snacks provided free of charge during the evening courtesy of Costa Coffee
  • Hot drinks available during the night free of charge courtesy of Costa Coffee
  • From 11pm participants are asked to keep the noise to a minimum and settle down

We are raising money for four homeless charities: You can raise money for all of them or select one charity

Matthew's House

Provides a ‘home’ in the heart of Swansea for those who are most vulnerable. A building that is known for providing a lifeline for the homeless and others who need it.

Zac’s Place

Over the years Zac’s Place has earned a reputation for providing a safe haven and an environment of pro-active care and concern for some of Swansea’s most alienated people.

At Llamau we believe that no young person or vulnerable woman should ever have to experience homelessness. Our mission is to eradicate homelessness for young people and vulnerable women. But for thousands of the most vulnerable people in Wales, homelessness is a frightening reality.

Trampface and Salute

Lee West & Paul O'Dwyer started Trampface in 2014 to raise awareness on the amount of ex military men & women who are sadly living on our streets. After 4 years and raising over £40,000 they decided to start a local not for profit organisation called SA1UTE with some other selfless fundraisers. This organisation is aimed at helping veterans within South Wales to get back on their feet, provide a helping hand and offer support where it's needed most.
