The runner passed away in hospital.
A runner has died after taking part in the Cardiff half marathon.
Organisers Run 4 Wales say it's with 'deep regret' that they've had to announce there was a fatality at yesterday's race.
Their statement says the runner was helped by medics on the course and then was taken to the University Hospital of Wales where they died.
It goes on to say everyone connected with the race is 'devastated' by what's happened and their 'deepest sympathies' go out to the runner's family.
