Swans now 3 points from play off spots
Swansea City are within three points of the play-off places, leaving them well-placed with nine games to go after a nil-nil draw with West Brom at the Liberty Stadium yesterday.
Neither side could find the key breakthrough but Manager Steve Cooper felt Swansea City could take a lot of positives after giving as good as they got.
“On another day we could have got more from the game,” said Cooper.
“We are never going to be 100 per cent happy to draw at home, because you want to back yourself to win any game at home, but we have to respect the game it was and the opposition.
“They are top of the league, they are the league’s top scorers, they have a ridiculously strong squad.
“We could have won it, I know they had large parts of the game where they had more ball than us but we had more shots on goal, we have a clean sheet too.
“If Jay scores one of those chances the questions are going to be about what a performance and what a result it is.
“It was really close to being that.
“We don’t want to sing and dance about a draw at home, but at the same time there were a lot of positives to come out of the game that can help us in the final run-in.”
