Helen's Blog - Wednesday July 9th
Hope you’re well today
It’s another rollover on the 'What am I' as it didn’t go today on day 2 of the new one. If you missed Monday I was scaffolding.
Anyway here are the latest clues:
1: I can be a legal term
2: I was first heard of in the Old Testament
3: Apparently Queen Victoria was not amused with me
4: I have been the name of several different novels – all unrelated
There won’t be a What am I tomorrow as I am off for the day & at my best mates wedding & the fabulous Shaun Tilley will be sitting in for me & he has a special guest the brilliant Matt Goss from Bros fame.
Last weekend I was so lucky to host a wonderful event; it was the Swansea Excelsior Ladies Choir Annual Concert along with their special guest flautist Chloe-Angharad Bradshaw & the Briton Ferry Silver Band.
It was such an honour to be part of this concert which was also attended by the Right Worshipful Lord Mayor of the City & County of Swansea councillor Ceinwen Thomas & her Consort Mr David Thomas
Thought I'd share some photos with you:
These are the lovely ladies from the choir
Here is their MD the gifted & talented Linda Richards
This very talented lady at the young age of 21 has won so many awards & bursaries for her playing including the Choir's Scholarship Award & when you hear her play you can see why. Outstanding!
The amazing Briton Ferry Silver Band
Finally this is the lovely Yougin Chi who accompanied the choir for a few songs & she is in Olchfa & what a talented young lady she is too.
Also I had to share this with you after my friend passed it on to me. I know this is a few years old & this lady has made many telephone appearances on the Ellen show in the USA. This is the very first time Ellen DeGeneres got to chat the 88year old.
I absolutely love her & everyone needs a Gladys in their lives
