Helen's Grape & Olive Blog - Wednesday March 12th 2014

Hello & how are you today?

Well as the gourmet club has returned to Swansea Sound last night I decided to check out one of the restaurants with my friends Kath, Eleri & Amanda.

We went along to the Grape & Olive in Swansea Marina which hosts the most stunning view across Swansea.

The deco inside the Grape & Olive is pretty impressive too

We decided to go all in & have a three course meal & we ordered a selection of starters from scallops, bread & olive to salad.

I could tell my friends were enjoying as they were very quiet & that doesn't happen very often!

After a delicious starter we then went on to our main courses which included a lamb shank, Celtic pride steak & their own special dish of chicken supreme with truffle oil mash. You have to try it. Stunning!

Of course no meal would be complete at the Grape & Olive without trying their delicious range of desserts. I had the white chocolate cheescake whilst my friends had the creme brulee & their Penderry & white chocolate bread & butter pudding which my friend added it was the best she had ever tasted.

Having a meal out is not just about the wonderful food but also the ambience which is relaxing & the service.

I have to say a huge thank you to all the staff for making us feel so welcome, especially the lovely Hannah who was our waitress all night.
