About Mark

The Drive time show weekdays 2-6.

I grew up with Swansea Sound. I'm from Merthyr and my Gran would always have it on the radio from the time she got up right through to Griff Harris on the late Show.

Stuart Freeman, Mark Powell and Steve Dewitt

I loved listening to Stuart Freeman and Steve Dewitt who are now friends of mine and it's a HUGE privilege to now work on The Mighty Swansea Sound.

With Swansea X Factor contestant Jasmine Leigh Morris who popped in for a chat.

Search me on Facebook and Twitter "Markpowellradio"

I'm a father of 4. Hear the kids at 330 every afternoon as we play Sali's Mystery Thingy. it's a game of "guess what it is."

Sali or one of the gang pop in after school to give a clue to something, somewhere or even someone. Call up on 01792 893031 and you could win a meal at the Colliers Arms.

Here's Eve, Amelie and Tom supporting our Hear My Voice campaign.

On the show I'll get the latest showbiz news, local stuff and my own humour thrown in to make your drive home as pain free as possible.

Traffic and Travel is a must on the drive home. Jamie Pritchard is the man in the know. Jamie will update you about  every 30 minutes between 4 and 6. Here's Jamie backing our "Hear My Voice" campaign.

I'm a huge fan of classic TV programmes, so it was a huge honour to meet Ruth Madoc from Hi de Hi at our local hero awards.

Listen out on my Saturday show for "What's the TV show??" after 11. I'll play a clip of a well known TV show and you can guess what it is and try to win.

Here's me with another TV legend, Warwick Davies.

He's me having a go driving an old train.... (another hobby)

My favourite song?? Well that's easy...
