PIES: What's your favourite filling?
Sweet or savoury? Warm or cold? We all have our favourite pies.
A new study has lifted the pastry lid on the pies we most enjoy to tuck into.
As far as the sweet pies, the apple pie beats the likes of rhubarb, and all of the berries.
And on the savoury scale, Steak and Ale topped the list, closely followed by Steak and Kidney, and Chicken and Mushroom, coming in a close third.
In fact, the steak and kidney pie has been voted more quintessentially British than many of the pub dishes we associate with Britain.
