Discrimination and abusive incidents were on the increase last season at professional and grassroots level in football according to the Kick It Out Campaign Organisation. We spoke to a rep from the organisation who felt much of that discrimination stemmed from society as a whole but said there's still much work that needs to be done. We spoke to Ammanford Football Club Chairman Rob Thomas who felt there was a need for better communication to encourage more victims to speak out and report these issues while new caller Mohammed who works as a Performance Analyst in football and as a Lecturer on race discrimination suggested the problem has never gone away, its always been there, but its also not just limited to football as he cited the examples of hate being targeted towards Welsh rugby player Gareth Thomas, and the recent opinions of Australian rugby player Israel Folau which caused outrage. All that & more on this week's podcast.
