Swansea Sounds Real Sports Phone In

Friday, July 5th, 2019 - 47 minutes

On Friday's RSPI we had a terrific response to what your stand-out sporting moment has been in the last 50 years, as we tied in the show to Swansea as a city celebrating its 50th year. Lots of callers opting for the 80/81 Swansea City side getting promotion from the old division 4 to division 1, and for the play-off game against Reading in May 2011 which ensured promotion to the Premier League. Alun opted for Llanelli beating the All Blacks in 1972 while Jim went for the Ospreys winning the old Celtic League. Opinion divided too on Nick Kyrgios - there's no middle ground. We found our listeners either think he's the best thing to happen to tennis....or they absolutely hate him! And Wayne Curtis won a brand new Swans away shirt! All that & more on this week's podcast!
