A very wet day with persistent and sometimes heavy rain. Windy again too, with a strong and gusty southerly wind. A humid day.
The rainfall is forecast to continue until late evening on Saturday 13th October. The rain will be heavy at times but with some drier interludes through this morning. River levels in the River Tawe at Clydach, Glais and Ynystawe are expected to rise until at least 08: 00 AM on Saturday the 13th October
Further rain is expected overnight and some of this could again be heavy. The strong southerly winds will moderate as they turn north-westerly.
Ynys-penllwch Road both ways blocked due to flooding and Impassable from B4603 (Clydach Mond) to B4291.
a car has become stuck due to the flooding near Mond Valley Golf Club.
Ynysygerwn Avenue both ways blocked due to flooding from A4109 (Glynneath) to Main Road (Aberdulais)
A4069 Broad Street both ways closed due to flooding from A4069 (Llangadog) to A40 Queensway (Llandovery).
A483 Eastbound partially blocked due to multi-vehicle accident from B4290 (Jersey Marine Roundabout) to M4 J42 (Earlswood Roundabout / Fabian Way). Traffic is coping well
A465 both ways closed due to accident from A465 (Resolven Roundabout, Resolven) to A4109 (Glynneath Interchange, Glynneath).
Slow traffic due to flooding on A484 Gwscwm Road Southbound from Camarthen (Pensarn Roundabout, Carmarthenshire) to Burry Port (Burry Port). Approach with care.
A40 Carmarthen both ways closed, traffic heavier than normal due to flooding from A482 to A4069 Station Road.
